Thanks for checking this thread out.
I'm trying to find out a good game for a 5 year old who'll be 6 in two months.
We already have Rub-a-Dub so I'm hoping there is some other game out there for him.
Something somewhat simple in terms of reflexes as he doesn't really have gaming skills yet.
Is there any kind of kids racing game that does not require a great deal of skill, but is still fun?
Thanks again for your suggestions My son is almost 5, but I don't like him playing video games or computer games.
Just a personal choice.
I don't think he needs to get into gaming that young.
I'd rather he was outside playing or using his hot wheels cars or doing artwork.
However, I think any of the Lego games would be fine; Lego Batman, Lego Star Wars, Lego Indiana Jones, plus that wouldn't be too painful for you to sit through, too.
Cars Mater National is pretty fun, even more so if he's into Disney.
Aliens I believe has co-op so you can play with him.
I think UP might have the same type of co-op.

It doesn't look to difficult and you could play with him.
Definitly the Lego games.
My 3 year old 4 in December has been playing them for months.
We started playing with him to help and although my wife and 2 of his 3 elder siblings had to complete some of the later levels he has lots of fun replaying them by himself.
He can even turn all the extras on and off - i.
I see significant improvement in those areas in my younger 2 kids 5 and 3 than in the older ones at the same age who didn't have access at such a young age.
They are now 12 and 9 and regularly thrash me at FIFA and PES though  Also some great Buzz Junior games if you've got the pads including one where one of the games is to do with "breaking wind" in the bath without the gorilla noticing - mine all think this is hilarious!!

There are just better things for a kid that age to be doing IMO.
Go with disney games to be safe.

These are all games perfect for a 5 year old and I didn't list all there are.

Best damn games ive ever played Need For Speed:Shift,Any Tony Hawk game I grew up on Need for speed games, and The THPS series.
My 4 yr old plays it, she needs help at times, but she is immensely entertained by it.
She and the 7 yr old also like Burnout Paradise.
Ninja gaiden sigma 2.
Little Big Plane might be good, but it may be a little hard.
After you've got him addicted to siiting on his ass playing games all day, don't forget to keep bringing him Doritos and Pepsi.
As a parent myself, I couldn't see myself encouraging this at such a young age.
I hate when ppl tell me how to ps3 games age 5 my kids, so I'm sorry.
But I just disagree with this.
Well, depends on how skilled he already is.

The other side of the coin is that in such a digital community we have evolved into by NOT introducing them to gaming at that age you are taking something away from them - be like not teaching them to read!!!
EVERYTHING is ok in moderation and responsible parents will 1 let their kids try things and develop new skills and 2 make sure they don't over do it and live a balanced life There this movie game named Rain with a chance of meatballs or something like that, maybe that one.
You should check that out, looks fun : Thanks for checking this thread out.

Thanks again for your suggestions satori I have a 5 year old daughter 6 in oct and she enjoys little big planet and Up.
Up is very simplistic and its easy to walk her through the gameplay, Plus she enjoyed the movie so she can relate.
Little big planet is easy at first but a little complicated as the game progresses, but its definitly one she can grow with.
She also enjoys decorating her sack boy, and sometimes building our own levels.
For racing Burnout Paradise, driving, crashing, its all fun in this game.

I'd be real happy if somebody brought ME Doritos and a Pepsi while I was playing.
The Kids get one hour a day each; 3 hours total each per weekend.
Otherwise they are too busy coloring, playing with dollies, reading, learning to read on the leapfrog, going to the park, going to the library children's sectionplaying with friends, homework, taking walks, housework, preparing dinner, doing the dishes, washing and waxing my cars.
Actually if i were selfish, i would have them play all day.
It is amazing how quiet they are while playing Lego and Burnout.
Except when the 7 yr old wrecks her car in Burnout and screams "Sweet - I meant to do that".

Hey didn't you forget about the laundry and scrubbing the bathroom!
The Washing machine is a toploader, so the Munchkins aren't tall enough to reach it, but they can get the clothes out of the Frontloading Dryer.
The 4yr old, Allie, folds clothes and towels real good.
Seriously now, I thought some more about the Lego Games.
I think they are very good games for children.

Yeah it doesn't get better than LittleBigPlanet, that's the appearance of the game until you get to the later levels.
I can't imagine a 5 years old creating a stage, i have the game since last years and i have not even created a full stage.

By on November 11, 2015 at 10:28AM PST While Sony didn't dominate the console space as much with the compared to its previous piece of home hardware the PlayStation 2, of coursethere was still an outstanding list of games released for it during the PS3's long lifecycle.
Which is what makes choosing the best games released on the console so, so difficult.
The ps3 games age 5 below aims to give you the gaming highlights for the PS3, and includes huge AAA hits, small and personal experiences, exclusive titles, and much more.
Do you agree with our choices?
Read on and tell us in the comments below.
This is the rare sequel that offers fans of the original the basics they would expect, while adding and changing so many other aspects that even those who didn't appreciate the first should take the plunge, without hesitation.
Everything about this game--the impressive visuals, stirring soundtrack, superb voice acting, fiendish puzzles, hard-hitting combat--feels like it has been lovingly crafted by a development team that's both knowledgeable and passionate about the source material.
Miss out on this one and the joke's on you.
Sure, the action is fine, but its primary focus is its story, a sci-fi mystery that manages to feel retro and futuristic at the same time, and its characters, who convey most of the story via radio transmissions and audio logs that you're constantly stumbling upon as you wander around.
All of it blends together see more form a rich, interesting world that sucks you in right away and won't let go until you've figured out what, exactly, is going on in the undersea city of Rapture.
Clever gameplay mechanics are the driving force, pushing you toward your inevitable confrontation with the woman you've lost, but it's the engrossing story that cements this as something really special.
And while this web page few design hitches here and there get in the way now and again, by and large Burnout Paradise delivers an experience that is both true to the Burnout name and wonderfully fresh-feeling all at once.
Caught between striving for the future and remaining rooted in the past, Black Ops II finds solid footing, providing another great ride on the Call of Duty rollercoaster.
It takes a special one to terrify you.
Dark Souls is such a game.
It's a thoughtful, atmospheric, and mysterious role-playing adventure that challenges your mind and your mettle.
Unlocking different powers, finishing missions in different ways, striving to be more or less murderous, and seeing a different endgame all offer appealing incentives to give it another go.
It's a rare game that feels so compulsively replayable, but Dishonored is such a game.
But it also does amazing things no other open-world game has attempted before, using multiple perspectives to put you in the thick of cinematic heist sequences and other exhilarating, multi-layered missions like no open-world game before.
casino entrance age />Every action you perform or decision you make--from the simple and mundane to the dark and disturbing--brings you closer to the flawed but realistic characters limit age alabama casino manipulate.
The pacing is excellent.
It doles out new abilities, introduces powerful story twists, and concocts exhilarating missions at a steady rate, which means the game never loses steam during the course of the lengthy adventure.
The game's length, two or three hours on the outside, is exactly right, letting you take in the whole experience in one session.
Killzone 2 is a tremendous package, offering an exciting campaign and terrific competitive online play, neither of which create new paradigms for first-person shooters, but rather set new standards in subtle but significant ways.
Noire is a unique game with a terrific sense of period atmosphere, absorbing investigation mechanics, and a haunting tale with plenty of moments that would be right at home in a classic film noir.
Those smoky nights spent listening to jazz at the Blue Room, and the price you paid for them, will stay with you long after you've retired your badge and gun.
Even if you're not interested in designing and creating games yourself, LittleBigPlanet 2 is not to be missed.
And ps3 games age 5 this harmony of game design comes the caustic dissonance of a world so torn asunder that a single possibility can bring with it endless hope.
You'll want to see what happens next, yet when its long campaign draws to a close, you'll wish it would continue.
Instead, it ps3 games age 5 outward from its predecessor, simultaneously illuminating the world that gave rise to Portal and continuing the adventure that began there.
The sense of novelty is diminished, but the thrill of exploration and puzzle-solving is still intoxicating, and it's amazing how Portal 2 manages to tell a better story with disembodied voices and spherical robots than most games can with full-on humans.
Think about great moments that you remember from spaghetti Western movies, put them all into one 20- to 40-hour epic feature, and picture yourself in the starring role.
Now you have some idea of what's waiting for you in Red Dead Redemption.
It doesn't have the secrets of Spelunky and it's more predictable than The Binding of Isaac, yet at the end of every game comes a desire to hop right back in, spend your gold on some upgrades and rack up more monster kills, something the game encourages with a challenging new-game-plus option that appears after the credits roll.
It doesn't have mercy.
And that stubbornness is one of the main reasons it's so hard to pull away from the game.
When you finally conquer something that has been hounding you for hours, you feel like the best darn explorer on the planet, and that feeling overshadows all the hardships you overcame down the troubled path you traveled.
When it comes to accessible, inventive, and immensely entertaining music video games, nobody does it better than Rock Band 3.
The Last of Us is a singular adventure that looks the downfall of humanity in the eyes and doesn't blink.
The perfectly paced campaign is pure joy from beginning to end, seamlessly combining top-notch shooting, smooth platforming, clever puzzles, and a playful story into one of the most engaging and satisfying adventures around.
Competitive multiplayer is just as compelling.
This speedy and thrilling third-person cover-based shooter is all madness, overwhelming you with gigantic robots, flurries of gunfire, and explosions so powerful and colorful that you might think you feel the heat.
There are a lot of ps3 games age 5 to love about Vanquish, but its most impressive feat is that while it uses mechanics you've seen in other shooters, it feels nothing like them.
